Truth-seeking is a natural urge and context-sensitivity is the natural skill it aims to build.
These natural states depend on a hidden but real meta-context that is all-encompassing, shared, and connected.
The trouble for truth begins when:
You experience lack of control as being “taken out of context.”
Re-read the point above. You are likely have so many ripples of associations with control such that the simple truth of this one has escaped you.
The trouble for truth continues when:
You doubt the naturalness of context.
To the personal crisis of “I’m being taken out of context” apply meta-doubt.
Global reasoning ensues from a position of doubt that clings to personal context.
Alarm: In the right context, anything can be justified. I can’t be a moral/just/righteous person and accept certain contexts.
Resignation: Since everyone is not self-similar to me (my reference point for natural context), truth outside of my own experience does not exist.
Maybe you relate to being a seeker or being sensitive. Maybe not. Either way (and not without irony), you are almost guaranteed to experience other people’s lack of honesty, openness or sensitivity as a problem. Who doesn’t want others to seek and sensitize towards them!
Feedback impels us toward truth
First, dig in for an analogy to food. If
Hunger motivates food-seeking
Digestion halts hunger by triggering satisfaction
Digestion sensitively absorbs and eliminates, leaving the body with essential building blocks for sustenance, growth, and healing
… truth and context do the same for reality.
Natural truth-seeking is the ability to consume what the reality-aware self needs.
Natural context-sensitivity is the ability to fully digest and receive nourishment from what is obtained.
Both are equally important in impelling us and are in constant *feedback* with each other.
Truth
from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
noun Conformity to fact or actuality.
noun Reality; actuality. noun The reality of a situation. noun A statement proven to be or accepted as true. noun Such statements considered as a group. noun Sincerity; integrity. noun Fidelity to an original or standard.
noun Theology & Philosophy That which is considered to be the ultimate ground of reality.
Context
from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.
noun The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning.
noun The circumstances in which an event occurs; a setting.
If not connected through feedback to natural context, truth and context are held as mutually exclusive ideals. Separated in this way, they are used as ideological tools in righteousness games.

Obscurity: an odd game
If you read Decipher Guide to Ease with Focus you learned of complex limiting patterns. In short, forcing focus leads to a sense of game play. With truth and context, the “games” sensed are about reality. Let me explain.
Truth and context rule the complex limiting patterns, generated by negative focus on reality, and “played out” through the Obscurity Bind. This is why disorientation, doubt, resignation and despair (from masking) interfere with success in “gaming reality.”
Focus on reality is unique. You have probably noticed how often the possibilities granted by the ability to relate meaningfully to reality turn back on themselves. It’s an ancient conundrum represented, for instance, in the symbol of the tail-eating ouroboros. The trouble arises because there’s little to prevent you from “turning reality around” through truth and context to influence others to accept your personal reality as the one, self-limited as it is, that matters in the moment.
Masterful experiences of truth and context encourage release of unmasterful self-control. This means releasing the underlying cause of the reality limiting paradox and all perceptions of obscurity. What is possible then is grace toward the larger “game” of deciphering reality.
Truth & Context Mastery
Binding context differs from binding focus
Covered in detail in At Ease with Focus, binding arises as a natural consequence negative focus.
With context, what arises is different. Context binds reinforce preferences through existing patterns and redundancies and as such,
Depend on preferences and thus can be positive (not just negative like focus binds)
Do not lead to masking but instead to scaling and projection within context-rich systems
Can be resolved (unbound) through context-sensitivity as well as changes in truth-seeking behaviors
Bound confidence cycles tend to collapse context-sensitivity

Exercising truthful context: behaviors & habits
Bring truth-seeking to context-sensitivity by
recognizing and expressing what binds your own confidence (in both self and system), connectedness, and responsiveness
asking the same of others
Bring context-sensitivity to truth-seeking by cultivating more “nutritious,” and perhaps new,
Routines
Beliefs
Interpretations
Coherent in-forming is the foundation of trust, not just in self and each other, but in the universe as natural context.
Context and delving deeper
When truthfulness relaxes from preoccupations (due to binding) to allow healthy truth-seeking, the next natural encounter is with context-sensitivity binds. They number three and, due to what each mirrors collectively, are equally forces for both innovation and stagnation.
Intense Scrutiny... can be unlocked only when confidence is unbound.
I Can’t Relate... can be unlocked only when connectedness is unbound.
Nothing Ever Changes... can be unlocked only when responsiveness is unbound.
The bright side to deeper dives
Intense Scrutiny...
shows where context hides physical isolation in the form of useless habits and routines
with context-sensitivity activates Full Arrival
I Can’t Relate...
shows where context hides mental isolation in the form of repeating thoughts and beliefs
with context-sensitivity activates Transformative Imaginal Capacity
Nothing Ever Changes…
shows where context hides emotional isolation in the form of held emotions and interpretations
with context-sensitivity activates Grounding in Participation
Integrating with Memory & Attention
For an individual perceiving reality, context that draws primarily on attention is novel. Context that draws mainly on memory is redundant (internally patterned). Grace reflects timelessness in attention and memory through novel and patterned decipherings. And we integrate them through old and new.
Novelty and patterning will be a topic of a future post.
